The basketball program at Miller Grove began its first season in 2005 and currently is gearing into their sixth year. Although considered relatively new, they have already begun to make a name for themselves. The Miller Grove Wolverines are the defending “Back-To-Back –To-Back-To-Back-To-Back-To-Back” State Champions in Georgia. They have also won seven out of the last eight region championships in one of the toughest regions (6-AAAAA) in the state while also going to seven consecutive “Final Fours”. During their first year of varsity competition, the Wolverines qualified for the Region 6-AAAA State Playoffs and made it all the way to the “Sweet Sixteen”. In 2014-2015, the Wolverines bring back 7 players from a championship squad. They are led by a cohesive group which features Alterique Gilbert, Raylon Richardson, Kendall Williams, and Gamaun Boykin who are all being recruited. They also have steady and rock-solid play in Daeshon Street, Joshua Jackmon, Aidan Saunders, and Devonta Brittian. Franklin Smith, Kevin Paige, George Wilson, and Matt Priester provide a great deal of depth to a very young and talented team.
